The Forest on Steam

Thanks to everyone, we are currently the number one game on Steam!

As it’s the first public alpha there are a lot of bugs for us to get through. Please send all bug reports to support@endnightgame.com . We will be setting up a Trello Board soon to make bug tracking easier.

Saving and loading seem to break in our latest build. We will try and do a hot fix out as soon as we can.

Public Alpha Release

The Forest public alpha releases tomorrow morning at 9AM PST on Steam!

It’s been a long journey for all of us and we’re really excited to have everyone join us in the next stage of development, where together we see how far we can take this concept.

We love horror, we love the idea of open world games, and of trying to push new ideas for gameplay and immersion. We know a lot of you do also. The support emails, ideas and suggestions you guys have sent us have been amazing.

Our aim for this first alpha is to release a platform we can build upon, adding more animals, more interactions, more emergent moments, polishing, improving, opening up new areas of the world and really make this into an unforgettable survival horror game experience.

We’ll do a bigger update next week along with some cool new media we have to show.

Trailer 3

Hey everyone,

Here’s our third trailer, showing a more extended look at some of our survival systems and also what life is like in the forest a little further into the game.

Attached to this latest trailer is our new targeted release date – we’re a little behind with our ambitious early 2014 release but overall things are progressing really well. We’ve been adding lots of cool stuff and hope you guys like what we have been up to.

Thanks again for all your support, emails and comments both here and on steam Greenlight, Youtube and other sites. You guys have made this game possible and we really want it to be an amazing experience for everyone (which is why we keep delaying it!)
